Understanding the Condition
Premature ejaculation is a common male sexual dysfunction. In TCM it is attributed to excessive sexual desire or masturbation damaging essence and qi and causing severe decline of the life gate (mingmen); or to excessive worry and depression injuring the heart and spleen; or to excessive fear injuring kidney qi. Besides avoiding these contributing factors, treatment with food therapy that warms the kidney and invigorates yang can achieve good results.
